Our Mission: The South County Collaborative (SCC) is a flexible and innovative network that supports at-risk youth in La Pine and Three Rivers communities to stay engaged in school, address their social and emotional needs, and help them develop their full potential.
Why is this needed? South Deschutes County includes five schools within the Bend-Lapine school district: La Pine ES, Rosland ES, Three Rivers K-8, La Pine MS, La Pine HS. The average rate of poverty for children attending these schools is 65% of the students. Opportunities outside the classroom in south Deschutes County are vastly inferior compared to peers in Bend. Providing meaningful options for students in south Deschutes County will help bring equity to their education, their experiences, and motivate students to remain engaged with the school and the community.
South Couty Collaborative is dedicated to expanding opportunities to help La Pine and Three Rivers students (K-12) stay engaged in and connected to school, address critical mental health needs, and remain on course to graduate and ultimately thrive after high school. The South County Collaborative brings together and shines a light on all the youth-serving stakeholders in South Deschutes County - working together, sharing resources, ideas, referrals, and making a positive and lasting impact. We invite you to join the South County Collaborative and invest time and money in the lives of our South County youth!
