The South County Collaborative (SCC) is a dynamic new, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that supports and empowers our youth in South Deschutes County.
Sparked by a generous $55,000 award from the Sunriver Women’s Club, the SCC is dedicated to expanding opportunities to help La Pine and Sunriver youth stay engaged in and connected to school, address critical mental health needs, and remain on course to graduate and ultimately thrive after high school.
Bruce is a founder of South County Collaborative and formerly the grant writer for Bend La Pine Schools. He has served on the La Pine High School Site Council, as a member of the Rotary Club of Greater Bend, and as the former mayor of Bend.
Erin is a Community Librarian with Deschutes Public Library. She previously worked as the Office Manager at La Pine Elementary and is passionate about creating more opportunities for youth in South County.
Valerie is a retired kindergarten teacher who is one of the founders of South County Collaborative. She is heavily involved in her community including with Sunriver Women's Club.
